runs thru my veins
every note
just leaves me insane
waiting to hear it again

pure and sweet
it echoes throughout my head
searching for memory
but lands in the heart instead
and lingers there forever

Waiting for the thrill
from which he'll spill
upon the stage
an instant rage
His passion and voice
my favorite choice
the fans enraptured
success he's captured
The Rockstar
The transformation
from nice sweet boy to rock star
how very lucky you are
to witness this event
his energy spent
on satisfying
as you gaze dying
That man knows the stage so well
he reels you in and traps you with his spell
leaving you wanting more
as you crawl for the door
there's no escaping
your heart is for the taking
A Master at the Mic
His voice, it resonates
on stage, he fascinates
his talent, he concentrates
his eyes, illuminates
your mind, intoxicates
your heart, he stimulates
your mood, he motivates
his heat, it radiates
a response, he initiates
the audience, appreciates
pure joy, always creates
perfection, he communicates
the critics, he captivates
any doubts, he eliminates!
Musical Vacation
I took his voice with me on vacation
no escaping that revelation
it fills the void that time transcends
the voice and sound of music blends
his sweet sound I often play the most
it carried me from coast to coast
while I listen, my head will nod
those songs get the most spins on my iPod

or rock n' roll
his voice touches
the mind, body and soul!

we've seen these words before
let's not forget there's more to see
when you open that other door
But will your expectations be met
can you live up to your goals
don't be afraid to take a chance

The Big Wheel
Looking back on your childhood
is always a good thing
recalling the fun times
and the memories they bring
You can see in your photo
the joy you did feel
while riding your favorite
and trusted big wheel
American Idol Craze
As judges critiqued, the look on his face
his sultry smile, a hair out of place
he took it all in, with courage and grace
he knew it was hard, what a tough race
if one more chance, he'd pick up the pace
the votes were in, he ended 6th place
Ode to your Favorite Boots
He's put many miles on those soles
almost worn out the heals and toes
although he's now a lot more rich
don't think he's ready to give 'em the pitch
They're usually a part of his wardrobe
either for the stage or under a strobe
he wears them often, from coast to coast
he probably wore them on New Year's to toast
He wore them once while rehearsing the show
they also go well with that T-Shirt we know
he's put many hours of walking on these
and now he's no longer beggin on knees
Admired by critics and wanted by plenty
his resume is now far from empty
others would like to walk in his shoes
but they just can't, so they're singing the blues
